West Coast Trip #8 (from Panza man)

West Coast Trip #7 (from Panza man)

So these are some of my favorite road trippin pictures. The behind the wheel pics turned out really nice, especially this first one w/ Erica in the back. She's soooo cute! So these were all taken enroute from Seattle to the Columbia Gorge. Erica thought these pics make me look like Ceasar Chavez....

Gay love stick handholding (Nick is gay).

West Coast Trip #6

So we headed out of the Seattle area (some of that trip will be in the next post). This is the last of my pictures (except one more) and I wanted to keep mine and Nick's seperate. We met up w/ Katie G. on the northern, Washington side of the Columbia Gorge. All of us camped out on the top of a ridge with a beautiful view of Mt. Hood.

West Coast Trip #5

Erica and I went backpacking in Olympia Nat'l Park, WA along this temperate rain forest river valley called the Hoh Rvr. It was beautiful, and massive with lots of lush greenage and slugs. When we first got to the trail head we saw these elk. After hiking 7 miles or so in, it started getting dark, and we found this awesome little tree shelter to setup camp. The following morning these girls w/ llamas showed up just after breakfast. The last night slept on the river bed.

West Coast Trip #4

Picking up Nick in Portland, and then after we get him to Seattle, we went our own way.

So these pics are from Nick Panza's camera. They are primarily of Seattle.

West Coast Trip #2

These pictures are of Mount Shasta in Northern California. It is quite a sight looming at over 14k ft. Its strange because you see something ahead in the distance, some clouds or something. Then slowly it comes into full view. The thing that's strange is that Mt. Shasta dominates the skyline for the next 2-3 hours of driving.

A little cone next to the road, only about 500ft. above the road's elevation.

And it finally leaves view- on to Oregon.

Oh Shit!

So news on the civil rights front...the US has decided to include RFID (radio frequency identification) tags in passports. I'm sure this is all for our 'protection' but somehow I feel like that must have gone over my head because all I can think about is how Big Brother this is. I'm scared, someone please console me. So I guess grab your new passport asap.

Dillion's Beach (Start of W. Coast Trip)

So Dillon's Beach is this massive park just north of Point Reyes Nat'l Park in CA. Its right on the coast in this massive bay. The strange thing about this place, is that all of the rednecks in California seem to congragate here w/ their RV's and tents, dogs, kids, and booze. I almost got drunk just driving into the place.

We saw a seal.

So we went here w/ the BurningMan crew, and had a good ol' time. Gabe (guy w/ the crazy red hat on the left) is a big hard alcohol fan, I should really say conasiour. He's the one who got me into taquilla. So there's this cousin of taquilla called mezcal. Basically the difference is that they smoke the agave before they distill it, so the booze is left with this strong rich smokey flavor (that knocks you on your ass). So, after the sunset, we got a good fire goin, and sat around tasting various types of mezcal!

You just gotta read this, it is toooo funny. I feel like it really puts just how crazy religion can be if you just put it into perspective.
